Organic cotton in fashion industry

The apparel industry plays a significant role in the production of organic cotton. Apparel brands are developing programs that will only use 100% organic cotton. Fashion industries are taking part in the role to preserve the nature by shifting from conventional cotton to organic cotton.
Various companies including FazzoniNikeWalmart, and C&A  include or have switched to organic cotton. As of 2011, China, the U.S., India, Pakistan, Brazil, Turkey, Greece, Australia, Syria, Mali, and Egypt are all producing organic cotton. With this rise in demand from 2007 to 2011 more and more countries are making the switch.
In general, the costs of producing organic cotton is higher than regular cotton. Organic cotton is approximately 20% to 30% more expensive than regular cotton and it is often feels softer than non-organic cotton.
